i once asked the Grateful Dead store how many customers had in Ireland out of curiosity, I figured it couldn't be all that many... but they said that it was confidential - i'd imagine they treat all their information that way.

I'd imagine given the quality of the sleeves and cds that they are probably produced in small enough batches - the overheads are probably very few, the tapes exist, its only a case of mastering them (which people do here on IA for the love of the music) getting a few sleeve notes together and transfer the music to CD... I'd imagine theres a fair bit of profit in it...
